LESSON FOUR

This lesson is an assignment only.

• An adult with limited equine experience has made an appointment to meet with you concerning riding lessons. The student’s goal is to become more comfortable around horses and be able to ride leisurely – for example trail riding with friends.

Write a report on your interview with the potential student. You may decide if the person is male or female. (Provide a complete explanation of goals, objectives and your plan for attaining them.)

Write a lesson plan for the student’s first lesson.

Now video yourself giving the lesson. (It is best if you can present an actual lesson with a student who approximates the assignment student. If that is not possible, pretend the student exists and present the entire lesson.)

You may submit your video using one of the online video hosting websites (For example: YouTube. Send the instructor the link. Make sure it is not set on private.
