    We offer five online educational equine programs.

          1.
Breyer State University Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine Studies
              Enroll in this program if you would like to achieve a bachelor of science degree in equine studies. You must        
              complete and pass 22 equine courses, the Equine Symposium and 8 general education courses.

          2.
Breyer State University Associate in Arts Equine Business Management Degree
              Enroll in this program if you would like to achieve an associate in arts degree in equine business.  You must
              complete and pass 10 equine courses, the Equine Symposium and 8 general education courses.

          3.
Professional Horse Trainer Certification
              Enroll in this program if you want to buy, train, and sell horses; give training clinics and seminars; board or breed
              horses. Earn a certificate for each course you complete and pass. Take one course or several. Courses are
              transferable into the bachelor of science degree or associate in arts degree in equine studies program.

          4. 
Professional Riding Instructor Program
               Enroll in this program if you want to provide clinics, riding camps, attract new customers and assure your financial
               freedom. Earn a certificate for each course you complete and pass.  Take one course or several. Courses are
               transferable into the bachelor of science degree or associate in arts degree in equine studies program.

Professional Stable Manager Certification
               Enroll in this program if you would like to manage a stable and provide a safe environment for both horses and horse owners.

>  Are the courses the same in the five programs?
             
The courses are all college level curriculum.
              The Breyer State University program has extra reading assignments.
              The Professional Riding Instructor Certification offers several courses that target teaching and instructing students.
              The Professional Horse Trainer Certification offers several courses pertaining to horse training.

             





>  What colleges will accept Breyer State University credits for transfer?
     
The final decision is always with the individual college, so you must contact any college you may be considering.  Here is a sample list of colleges which do currently accept Breyer State University credits:  York University, Pebble Hills University, Central Valley--NY, Maine University, Eastern Michigan University, Old Dominion University, Pensacola Junior College, Mercy School of Nursing, Northwestern State University, Worcester State College--MA, Indiana State University, Ross University--NJ, and UMASS

      


Are all the courses online?
              
Yes, all the courses are online.






> Can I take one course?
       Yes, you can take just one course and earn a "certificate of achievement."   You can take one course or as many as you want; the choices are yours.   If you want to take just one course, it is best to sign up for one of the Professional Certification programs.  You can always transfer the course for full credit if you decide later you want to work toward a degree.     







>  Can I take more than one course at a time?

               
Yes, you may take more than one course at a time. 






> Can I enroll at any time?
                Yes, you can enroll at any time.  Because we do not have physical limitations on classroom size the classes are available at all times.






>  How old do I have to be to take a course?
                
We request students be at least 16 years of age.




>  I do not live in the United States.  May I still sign up for a course?
                 
You do not have to be a resident of the United States.  We have many students all over the world.  You must be proficient in the English language, as the courses are in English.

Each program, except the community college program, has a secure order form.  If you do not want to submit your credit card online, you can print the order form, then fax or mail the information, along with payment.  You may also call (602) 689-6171 and enroll on the telephone using a credit card. >  After I sign up - how long before I have to start the course?

             
Within 24 hours of enrollment you will receive a link to your first lesson.
                  If you lose the link or  your computer crashes contact
HorseCoursesOnline  and the link will be sent to you.






>  Are there deadlines to complete a lesson or course?

              Courses have a completion deadline of one (1) year from the time of enrollment in a specific course.  The student may petition for an extension.  Requests for extensions must be submitted in writing (email is accepted -  info@horsecoursesonline.com).  Extension requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.





 
>  How long does it take to complete a course?
              
Each course varies in length.  The course Training Peformance Horses may take a year or more (extentions are awarded for this course), as you actually train a horse during the course. Some courses may be completed easily within a month.




  >  Do I need a horse?
              
You will need access to a horse for many of the courses.  Contact HorseCoursesOnline for questions about a specific course.





 
> What careers are there for me?
              There are hundreds of careers available in the horse industry from  breeding manager to book editor...but before deciding what you want to do, consider your personal abilities and goals...then add "credentials" such as a Professional Certification or college degree.  Each of the following "major career fields" has many different job opportunities:  Horse breeding, racing, communications, health care, horse industry service, horse industry support, marketing and sales, manufacturing (tack, feed, equipment) research and education as well as transportation and facility management.  Of course, there is always the opportunity to create your own business. With credentials your choices are almost unlimited.
